    The Board establishes policies for the Authority, approves its work plan, manages its budget, and ensures it has the necessary resources (human, financial) to perform its functions effectively.

  3. Discipline & Sanctions
    It maintains discipline in the industry: enforcing standards, handling misconduct, investigating complaints, and imposing sanctions where agents or developers fail to follow the rules.

  4. Protection of Persons Engaged in Real Estate Transactions
    The Board is responsible for safeguarding the interests of buyers, sellers, renters, landlords, etc. This includes making sure agents behave ethically, that information is transparent, and that transactions are fair.

  5. Promoting Transparency, Accountability and Integrity
    This involves making sure that business operations in the real estate sector are open and honest; agents are accountable; conflicts of interest are managed; financial dealings are proper.

  6. Cooperation with Other Bodies Especially for AML/CFT
    The Board must work with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and other public sector agencies to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and to comply with international best practices.

  7. Maintaining a Register
    It keeps and maintains the official register of all real estate agents, promoters, and developers who are legally allowed to operate.
